BCAD Booster Club Meeting Minutes

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:50 PM.
Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes
A motion to approve the minutes from the previous meeting was made by Sara Gerges and seconded by Meghan Siporin. The motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report
- Deposits have been paid for 21 dancers.
- The booster club is still awaiting checks from Chipotle, Angelo’s, and Neshaminy.
- The Branch Creek check has been received.
- Once all current funds are deposited (excluding Angelo’s Neshaminy, as that amount is still unknown), the estimated bank balance will be $7,098.
- The cost of the website still needs to be paid from one of the upcoming fundraisers.
- The next major distribution to dancers is scheduled for August 30. Funds will be distributed based on the account balance at that time, while maintaining a $1,000 reserve in the booster club account.
- The fundraising thermometer will reflect the total amount raised and will not deduct expenses. Expenses will be tracked and reported separately.
Old Business
Trivia Night
- The board discussed whether to move forward with Trivia Night, pivot to a different event since the venue is already secured, or cancel and plan another fundraiser for that month.
- Additional research is needed before making a decision.
- A vendor fair was suggested as a possible alternative.
New Business
Dirty Soda Bar
- Research local farmers markets as potential locations for a Dirty Soda Bar fundraiser.
Bake Sale
- Need to order clamshell containers and possibly cookie bags.
- Amanda will inventory the available treat bags.
- Tablecloths are available; no tables are needed.
- Meghan will bring cake stands for displays.
- Pricing will be finalized on Friday during packaging.
Dublin Town Center Lemonade Stand
- Amanda has contacted Dublin Town Center regarding hosting a lemonade stand during the Saturday fair and is awaiting a response.
- Planned offerings include:
- Dirty sodas
- Leftover baked goods from the bake sale
- Menus need to be created for both baked goods and dirty soda options.
Upcoming Fundraisers
- The Philly Sports Raffle will continue through October.
- The Contest for the Kids fundraiser concludes in August.
- Future fundraising ideas discussed included:
- Eagles Open Practice Tailgate
- Phillies Tailgate
- Selling dirty sodas and pretzels at tailgate events
Discussion
The board brainstormed additional ideas to:
- Increase attendance at booster club events.
- Develop new fundraising opportunities throughout the year.
